Common questions
How do I convert a date to the Hebrew date?
Hebcal's free Hebrew Date Converter turns any date into the Hebrew date and back. The Jewish day begins at nightfall, so the converter has an 'after sunset' option. For a yahrzeit or bar mitzvah date, ask your rav which date applies.

Is there a free Jewish calendar I can add to my phone?
Hebcal offers free downloads and calendar subscriptions of Jewish holidays, candle lighting times and more for Google, Apple and Outlook calendars, plus free developer APIs that sites (like this one) use for zmanim and dates.

Where can I see today's zmanim on JRA?
The JRA Zmanim page shows the day's times for your location. For a personal question about which time to follow, ask your rav.
